William G. "Bill" Vonholt

     William G. "Bill" Vonholt, 59, of rural Clayton, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home.
     Born January 22, 1964, in Quincy, Bill was a son of Melvin and D. Joan Alger Vonholt.
     Bill was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clayton. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed attending his nephews sporting events.
     Bill was employed at Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling for many years retiring due to ill health. He also worked on the family farm in Concord Township all of his life.
     Survivors include his mother, Joan Vonholt, Clayton; his sister, Beverly J. "Bev" Roberts (John), Liberty; his brother, Bradley K. Vonholt (Bobbi), Minatare, NE; two nephews, Max B. Roberts (Kayla), Trenton, MO., and Spencer J. Roberts (Hailey), Corydon, IN., his niece,  Noelle B. Vonholt, Gering, NE.; and five great nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his father, Melvin G. Vonholt.
     Private family graveside services will be held at the Zion Cemetery in Concord Township, Clayton, IL. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
     Memorials may be made to Zion Cemetery.
     The Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton is handling the arrangements.
