W. Eric Logsdon, 61, of rural Coatsburg, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Born October 25, 1963, in Quincy, Eric was the son of Leon and Glenda Logsdon. He married Debbie Doyle on October 29, 1988, in Columbus, IL. She survives.
Eric worked as an agricultural truck and equipment mechanic in the Coatsburg area most of his life.
Eric was an avid outdoorsman. Whether hunting or fishing, you would always find him outside. His greatest passion was getting youth involved in the outdoors, and he taught most of his family the tricks of the trade. If he wasn't hunting or fishing, Eric would often spend his time in the barn working on his model trains.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his sons, Joshua Logsdon and his wife Jakin, Quincy, and Tony Logsdon, Camp Point, IL; his grandchildren, Tristan, Jeslyn, Luca, and Tegan Logsdon, Quincy; his mother, Glenda Orrill (Milton Gooding), Coatsburg, IL; two sisters, Pam Moore, Pittsfield, IL, and Renee Waters and her husband Kent, Coatsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Tammy Orrill.
A public graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2024, at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy by Rev. Sheri Renner.
