Susan Kay Doellman, 68, of Quincy, IL., died at 2:05 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling, IL.
Born September 10, 1954, in Quincy, Susan was the daughter of Harold A. and Margaret Helen Miller Wagy. She married Thomas E. Doellman on July 15, 1988, in Hannibal, MO. He survives.
Susan had been employed at Denman Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Prior to her job at Denman Pharmacy, she operated an in-home daycare for 10 years. Susan loved babies and took every opportunity to hold one. She was a devoted caregiver for her entire family throughout her life. In her free time, she loved taking trips to Tunica, MS or Las Vegas with her husband and friends. She really enjoyed playing slots.
Survivors in addition to her husband Thomas, are her children, Arista (Jason) Bauerly, Quincy, and James Stephen Hamann; her stepchildren, Kendra (Jeff) Cunningham, and Thomas W. (Erica) Doellman; her grandchildren, Sydney (Rocky) Hamann, Brayden (Paige) Bauerly, Jayden Bauerly, Maggie Bauerly, Miah Roan, Brody Hamann, Christian Hamann, Jace Hamann, Lainie Cunningham, Lily Doellman, and Devin Doellman; her great-grandchildren, Presley Hamann, Alyza Valentine and Everleigh Hamann; her siblings, Harold “Bud” Reid, Jim (Judy) Reid, Paul "Butch" (Kathy) Reid, and Karen (Bill) Mummey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia “Pat” O’Mara.
The family will host a celebration of Susan's Life at a later date.
