Stanley G Campbell

Stanley G. Campbell, 74, of rural Loraine, IL, died at 6:41 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2026, at his home.

Born January 8, 1952, in Birmingham, IL, Stanley was a son of George and Maxine Pollock Campbell.

Stanley graduated from Plymouth High School in 1970. He later attended Gem City Business College, where he earned an accounting degree. Following his graduation, he began his career at Illinois State Bank, later becoming Boatmen's Bank, where he eventually attained the position of Vice President and Controller. He also worked part-time and temporarily at H&R Block in Quincy, Macomb and Keokuk.

Stanley was active in his community and held various offices with the Quincy Jaycees, chairing many projects and earning several awards. He was also a member of the Quincy Area Safety Council. He was a founding committee member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and served as treasurer during its existence.

Following his retirement, Stanley spent many years serving on the ABS Water Board, serving on various committees as well as acting as a financial advisor. He was a member and past director of the National Association of Accountants, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and served on the Illinois Job Service Advisory Committee.

Survivors include his sons, Adam Campbell (Kelley Walker), Gainesville, GA, and Jason Campbell (Christie), Camp Point, IL; his granddaughter, Presley Campbell, Camp Point; his girlfriend, Bonnie Eudy; his brother, Jeff Campbell (Karla), and their children, Jeremy and Brandi, and Brandi's children, Gracie and Xander; and his sister, Luan Ebert (Mark).

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Following the visitation, Stanley will be cremated, and private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice.
