Stacy E. Smith, 51, of Camp Point, died Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born October 1, 1970, in Quincy, Stacy was the son of Delmas Dean Smith and Carolyn Lee Wharton.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing at the family farm, riding his snowmobile, and was an avid LA Dodgers fan.
He was employed as a cabinet builder at Concord Cabinets in rural Clayton.
Survivors include his daughter, Payton Ann Smith; his fiance', Dana Simmons, Camp Point; his mother, Carolyn Wharton, Quincy; his father, Dean Smith (Patty), Ashland, IL.; his sister, Deane Smith-Neastea, Golden; a niece, Leia Lish (Luke), Quincy; two nephews, Vance Neastea (Kaylee), Camp Point and Cooper Neastea, Golden; two great-nieces, Haylee and Ella Lish, Quincy; a step-sister, Kendra White, Jacksonville, IL.; a stepbrother, Patrick Sapp (Benevia), Jacksonville, FL.; a step-niece, Annabelle White, Jacksonville, IL.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Stacy was cremated. A celebration of Stacy’s life will be held Sunday, (January 2, 2022) at 2:00 p.m. at the Camp Point United Methodist Church by Rev. Jim Crozier.
Following the life celebration, family and friends are invited to the Clayton American Legion, 111 South Park Street, Clayton, IL. 62324, where a meal will be shared.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Payton Smith Education Fund.
