Sara L Unmisig

     Mrs. Sara L. Unmisig, 73, of Geneseo, IL., passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.

     Born April 24, 1950, in Quincy, IL., Sara was the daughter of John W and Lena Lu Wood Roy. She married Dale H. Unmisig on August 20, 1977. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2023.

     She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Culver-Stockton College a year before working at Moorman's in Quincy.  She later was employed as a secretary for a chiropractic clinic in Geneseo.

     Survivors include her step-sons, Brent (Cindy) Unmisig of Quincy, and Brian (Penny) Unmisig of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Brad, Bryce, Bailey, Kaitlin, Emma, and CaCee Unmisig; her great-grandson, Zayden; her sister, Paula Knox (Robyn), Ursa, IL.; and several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

     Sara was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Quincy.

     Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton.
