Roger "Dale" Cook

Roger "Dale" Cook, 60, of Quincy, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his home.

Born June 17, 1965, in Stuttgart, Germany, Dale was the son of Ronald Gene Cook Sr. and Linda Rockwell Cook.

Dale was an avid Dale Ehrnhardt and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was employed as a welder throughout his life.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Linda Steinkuhler (Don), Camp Point, IL; his sister, Carol Dearwester (Tim), Camp Point; his brother, Ron Cook, Camp Point; and his sister, Nicole Steinkuhler, Quincy; his aunt, Patty Wilkinson, Mountain View, AR; his nieces and nephews, Nathan Shoopman (Amanda), Camp Point, Andrew Dearwester (Bri), Paloma, Anthony Dearwester, Camp Point, Cody Will, Camp Point, and Brayden Hummer, Clayton, IL; his beloved cat, Norman; and numerous great nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Violet Bradney, and his father, Ronald Gene Cook, Sr.

Dale was cremated. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner. Private family burial will be held at Howe Cemetery, Timewell, IL, at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the charity of the donor's choice.
