Rev. Ronald F. Graham, 89, of Adams County, IL, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his home.

Born March 21, 1936, in Springfield, IL, Rev. Graham was a son of Montford and Rebecca Belle (Massa) Graham. He married Maryann Stork on August 20, 1960, at First Methodist Church in Springfield, IL. She preceded him in death.

Rev. Graham graduated from Springfield High School in January 1954 and attended Carthage College in Carthage, IL, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1957. He then attended Chicago Lutheran Seminary in Maywood, IL (now the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago), graduating in May 1961. He was ordained as a minister of the United Lutheran Church in America on May 17, 1961—the birthday of his wife, Maryann—at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Washington, IL.

Rev. Graham was called as pastor in May 1961 to Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston, IL. In May 1978, he graduated from Hamma School of Theology at Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, earning his Master of Divinity degree. He served faithfully over many years at congregations in Illinois, Louisiana, Iowa, and Ohio, last serving as pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lost Prairie, Camp Point, IL, from January 1, 1996, until 2018.

Survivors include his son, Scott D. Graham, and his wife, Susan, of Quincy; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his special friend, Lavon Norris, LaPrairie, IL; his sister, Dorothy Millar of Havana, IL; an uncle, Charles R. Graham of Rochester, MN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maryann; his son, James W. Graham; his daughter, Cynthia Louise Graham Brown; and his sister, Marilyn A. Myers.

Rev. Ronald F. Graham will lie in state at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lost Prairie, 1228 E. 2385th Street, Camp Point, IL, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends may pay their respects during this time.

A private committal service will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Camp Point, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lost Prairie.
