Mary F. Cludray, 89, of Plymouth, IL. died at 3:32 pm Thursday April 8, 2021 at Heritage Heath and Senior Care Center in Mt. Sterling, IL.
She was born on September 23, 1931 in Bowen, IL to Frank and Ethyl Belknap Akers. She married Mike Cludray on May 23, 1953 in Macomb, IL. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2009.
Mary was a graduate of Bowen High School and the Quincy Beauty Academy. She owned and operated Mary’s Beauty Shop in Plymouth for 63 years. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and brothers-in-law, going to gambling boats and doing puzzles and crosswords. Mary could often be found sitting out on her front porch waiting for her neighbors and grandchildren to stop by for a visit. Mary was a two time Grand Marshall of the Plymouth Old Settler’s.
She is survived by a daughter Colette (Randy) Smith of Plymouth, IL, a son Brad (Cindy Twidwell) of Plymouth, IL, 4 grandchildren, Danielle (Kevin) Marinelli of Dawson, IL, Dustin “Bobbi” Smith of Plymouth, IL, Cody (Tera) Smith of Plymouth, IL and Bryer Cludray of Plymouth, IL, 6 great-grandchildren, Gage Marinelli, Peyton Marinelli, Riley ,Delaney, Cash and Calin Smith. a brother, Donald Akers of Hamilton, IL, 2 sisters, Kay Webster of Quincy, IL and Janet (Gary) Wear of Loraine, IL.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank Jr, Bill and Terry Akers
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday April 10, 2021at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, IL with Rev. Tom Spain officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Plymouth. Visitation will be one hour prior to time of services Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Circle Community Center or the Plymouth Old Settlers Association.
