Mary L Allen

     Mary L. Allen, 73, of Quincy, died at 8:52 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Sunset Home in Quincy.

     Born November 17, 1949, in Quincy, Mary was the daughter of Howard and Ruth Deming Schwartz.  She married  Michael L. "Mike" Allen on September 18, 1968. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2022.

     Mrs. Allen was a manager at Niemann Foods County Market Express C-Store. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, flea marketing, and antiquing.

     Survivors include her son, Jeff Allen (Regina), Quincy; her grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Lexi Allen, and Trevor Gordon, Quincy; her beloved dog, Rambo; her sister, Shirley Gooding, Camp Point; her brother, Leroy Schwartz (Carolena), Baylis; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Lisa M. Allen.

     Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner. Following services, Mary will be cremated. A private family burial will be held at Graymount Cemetery in Coatsburg. 

     Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
