Mary M Aleshire McKee

Mary M. Aleshire McKee, 86, of Macomb, IL died at 4:45 pm Saturday February 17, 2024 at the Macomb Post Acute Center in Macomb.

She was born on April 19, 1937 in Clayton, IL to Clyde E. and Nell E. Wade Aleshire. She was united in marriage to Duane McKee on September 19, 1956 in Augusta, IL. He survives.

Mary was a graduate of Plymouth High School and received a Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL She taught at Bushnell/ Prairie City Elementary School from 1970 until her retirement in 2001.

She is survived along with her husband by a son, Joe (Becky) McKee of Holt MI, 2 daughters, Rhonda Huston of Huntsville, IL and Kathy (Steve) Olson of Sycamore, IL, 6 grandchildrem and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held later in the spring.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, Il is handling arrangements.
