Marilyn S Grems

April 11, 1957 — April 27, 2023

     Marilyn S. Grems, 66, of Milan, formerly of Camp Point, passed away at 5:13 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her home.

     Born April 11, 1957, in Quincy, Illinois, Marilyn was the daughter of Virgil and Esther Parson Brocksieck. She married Geoge L. Grems on November 24, 1999. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2022.

     Marilyn was a 1976 graduate of Central High School. She had been employed as a certified nurses assistant working at Grandview Nursing Home, Brighton Nursing Home, and Oak Glen Nursing Home. She had most recently worked as a home healthcare nurse.    

     Survivors include her siblings, Carolyn Wharton, Quincy, Doris Bartz, Camp Point, Wayne Brocksieck, Clayton, Nancy (Randy) Ulrich, Quincy, and Mary Brocksieck, Quincy; her brother in law, Hoss Tuter, Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Elmer and Ruth Brocksieck and Herbert and Mary Parson; her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Susan Tuter and Debra Brocksieck.

     Marilyn was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Camp Point United Methodist Church.

     Memorials may be made to Camp Point United Methodist Church.
