Lois Mae Evans Fearneyhough Bean of Liberty, IL, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at Liberty Village in Pittsfield, IL.
Lois was born September 17, 1930, in Winchester, IL, the daughter of Willis and Ethel (Blake) Evans. She was united in marriage to Raymond Dale Fearneyhough on May 20, 1950, and to this union seven children were born. Raymond preceded her in death on September 23, 1993. Lois later married James “Jim” Bean of Clayton, IL, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2001.
Lois was a member of Sandridge Baptist Church in Winchester. She enjoyed working on the farm, gardening, and simply being outdoors. In later years, she enjoyed trucking alongside Jim. She especially loved her dog, B.J.
Survivors include six children: Jim (Sharon) Fearneyhough of Kinderhook, IL; Laura Braswell of Chanderville, IL; Donna (Danny) Vollbracht of Clayton, IL; Dorothy (John) Graham of Clayton, IL; Lily Seaborn Stickman (Gene) of Baylis, IL; and Michael (Stacy) Fearneyhough of Liberty, IL; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Danny Ray; one daughter, Patty Cowick; sons-in-law Pat Seaborn and Tom Cray; sisters Margie Stevens, Barbara Sparks, and Dorothy Evans; and brothers Billy, Joe, Leo, Bert, and Tommy Evans.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 16, at 2:00 p.m. at South Side Cemetery in Clayton, IL.
