Linda Drummond

Linda H. Drummond, 79, of West Point, IL passed away at 12:30 am Saturday March 28, 2026 at Adams Pointe in Quincy, IL.

She was born on December 28, 1946 in Quincy, IL to Merle and Doris Chambers Lane. She was united in marriage to Ronald Drummond on June 27, 1965 in the Augusta Methodist Church. He survives.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Bowen High School. She and Ron worked the family farm until their retirement and also operated a painting business for many years. She was an active member of the Bowen Christian Church and was a volunteer at the Tea Room at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Linda also enjoyed working outdoors, maintaining their beautiful yard and garden, and also caring for animals. Ron and Linda spent many years boating on the lake and cruising in their convertible. She always made birthdays and holidays memorable.

She is survived along with her husband Ron, by 2 daughters; Lori (Tedd) Simmons of Plymouth, IL, and Lonna (Steve) Lockett of Quincy, IL 4 grandchildren; Wesley (Breanne) Simmons of Quincy, IL and their daughter, Vivianne Simmons, Heather (Levi) Winters of Warsaw, IL and their son, Elias Winters, Jenna and Kensey Beebe of St. Louis, MO, sister-in-law, Pat Lane of Sigourney, IA and 3 nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday March 31, 2026 at the Bowen Christian Church in Bowen, IL with Pastor Chris Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Bowen Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of services at the church. Memorials may be made to the Bowen Cemetery or Bowen Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Merle Lane.
