Linda L. F. Chockley, 76, of Plymouth, IL, passed away at 9:45 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville, IL.
She was born on June 25, 1950, in Macomb, IL, to Ward and Lena Aaron Farwell. She married Richard Chockley on August 28, 1985, in Keokuk, IA. He survives.
Linda was a graduate of Sciota Northwestern High School and then attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, IL, where she received an Associate Degree in business. She was a retired employee of Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Linda loved performing as Myrtle Mae the clown at the Clark County Mule Festival for many years in Kahokia, MO.
She is survived by 2 sons; Jason (Chelsea) Chockley of Tennessee, IL, KC Chockley of New London, IA, six grandchildren, Landon, Levi, Brooklyn, Darrius, Dalton and Madison, a sister: Nancy (Dan) Bressler of Macomb, IL, three nephews; Col. Jeremie Hester, wife Jenny with 3 great nephews; Jacob, Cullen, Silas, Micah Hester, wife Cindi with 2 great nieces and 1 nephew; Natalie Mixer, husband Colton Mixer, Grace and Tristen Hester plus 1 great great nephew and niece; Tatum and Taylor Mixer, Jarred Hester, wife Sue with 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew; Madison, Alyssa and Jaxon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers in infancy.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon until 4:00 pm Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Plymouth Circle Community Center in Plymouth, IL. Memorials may be made to Richard Chockley to help with medical expenses.
The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL, is handling arrangements.
