Kenneth Allan Leapley, 89, of Liberty, IL, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at his home.
Born August 2, 1936, in Quincy, IL, Kenneth was the son of William and Alice Lillian (DeWitt) Leapley. He married Nancy E. Haistings on November 22, 1956, in Coatsburg, IL. She survives.
Kenneth worked as a truck driver throughout his life, spending many years with Quincy Soybean before finishing his trucking career with Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling, IL.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his children, Jane (Jim) Tjaden, Rose (Ronnie) Barry, and Mary (Roger) Phillips; his grandchildren, Janelle (Jason) Payne, Jennifer McConnell, Jami (Kyle) Powell, Jonas Tjaden, Matt (Amanda) Barry, Marc (Kendall) Barry, Rachelle (Rob) Goodwin, Maria (Caleb) Fleer, Michael (Megan) Leapley, Kenny (Emma) Phillips, and Renee Phillips; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Linda (Dale) Kill and Janet (Larry) Leebold; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Leapley in infancy; his parents; and his brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Barb Leapley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 29, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner. Burial will follow at Graymount Cemetery, Coatsburg, IL.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
Memorials may be made to Graymount Cemetery or Blessing Hospice.
