Joey A Henninger

Joey A. Henninger, 61, of Golden Good Shepherd Home, formerly of Liberty, IL, died Monday, August 10, 2026, at the home.

Born July 11, 1965, in Quincy, IL, Joey was a son of James and Alice Rigg Henninger.

Joey was a graduate of Liberty High School. He was employed as a farm hand throughout his life. He enjoyed farm work and always walked around with a smile on his face.

Survivors include his brothers, John H. Henninger (Laura), Liberty, IL, and Bill Henninger (Jane), Quincy, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jimmy Henninger.

A graveside service will be Thursday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Nations Cemetery in rural Liberty by Rev. Sheri Renner. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Callahan.
