Jerry Booth

Jerold J. “Jerry” Booth, 86, of Camp Point, IL, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home.

Born August 25, 1939, Jerry was the son of William and Gladys (Davis) Booth. He was the 11th of 13 children.

Jerry attended school in Camp Point and graduated from Weber High School in Ogden, UT, in 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Jerry and his wife, Patty, settled back in Camp Point and enjoyed a quiet life. Everyone who knew Jerry knew he always had a good story to tell and possessed a great knowledge of history, especially about Camp Point.

He is survived by his children, Jan, Lisa, Randy, Jill, and Jenny; his stepson, Dave; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patty; his son, Brad; and 11 of his siblings.

Jerry was cremated. Inurnment will take place at Hebron Cemetery in Camp Point and with his son, Brad, in Utah. A private family service will be held.

The Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point is assisting the family with arrangements.
