Glenn D Cunningham

Glenn D. Cunningham, 87, of Clayton, IL, passed away at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home.

Born October 29, 1936, in Camp Point, IL, Glenn was the son of Francis and Naomi Hammond Cunningham. He married Katherine Bangert on July 21, 1967. She survives.

Glenn worked as a carpenter all of his life. As a younger man, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors in addition to his wife are his sons, John Cunningham (Tabi Richmiller), Clayton, and Darren Cunningham, Quincy, IL; his grandchildren, Cassandra Cunningham, Clayton, Chandra (Jeff) Burgett, Beardstown, IL, Millie Cunningham, Quincy, and James Cunningham, Camp Point; his great-grandchildren, John, Axel, and Jocelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Glenn) Howe, June (Oren) Castle, and Veda (Harold) Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton by Rev. Sheri Renner. Burial with military honors will follow at South Side Cemetery, Clayton.

 Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
