Gladys Lambert

Gladys L. Lambert, 59, of Macomb, IL formerly of Plymouth, IL died at 10:45 pm Wednesday March 6, 2024 at her home in Macomb.

 She was born on October 11, 1964 in Rock Island, IL to Phillip and Earllean Morgan Lambert. She married Gary C. Douglas on June 17, 1987 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2018.

 Gladys had been employed at KD’s Coop in Plymouth, IL. She enjoyed painting, playing games, watching videos, but her most cherished times were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren which were her pride and joy.

 She is survived by 2 daughters; Carey (Nick) Douglas and Alleyne Fawcett, 4 grandchildren, Amber (Allen) Roth, Gary Fawcett, Mike Fawcett and Nikki Fawcett, 2 great-grandchildren, Elisabeth and Gary Roth, 4 brothers, Lou (Christine) Lambert, Phill (Chrissy) Lambert and Marvin and Mike Price and her companion, Larry Akins.

 She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, a daughter, Goldie Shallenberger, a sister, Marilyn Price and numerous aunts and uncles.

 Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday March 10, 2024 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL by Rev. Tom Spain. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Memorials may be made to her family.
