Georgia Carle

Georgia M. Carle, 99, of Plymouth, IL passed away Friday March 6, 2026 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born on December 14, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Paul W. and Della V. Matheny Blakeslee. She was united in marriage to Clifford Junior Carle on June 20, 1952 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2001.

Georgia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plymouth and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by 4 sons; Gary Carle of Grand Tower, IA, Rex (Diana) Carle of Plymouth, IL, Dick (Rose) Carle of LaPrairie, IL, Curt Carle of Plymouth, IL, 2 daughters; Jeanne (Lynn) Jones of Guthrie, KY, Lisa (Steve Harlan) Coleman of Good Hope, IL, a son-in-law, Tony Smith of Tenessee, IL, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert W. and Ronnie B. Carle and a daughter, Bonnie Smith.

There will be no services at this time. Per Georgia’s request, her body will be donated to Medical Science. Memorial contributions may be made to her family, checks may be made to and sent to Richard Carle, 796 LaPrairie Road, LaPrairie, IL 62346.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL is handling arrangements.
