Elizabeth Gray

     Elizabeth Ann Gray, 89, of Coatsburg, IL., passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Timberpoint Healthcare Center in Camp Point, IL.

     Born June 1, 1934, in Princeton, MO., Elizabeth was the daughter of Owen E. and Esther  A. Franklin Neill. She married Victor N. Gray on July 29, 1957, at the Christian Church in Liberty, IL. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1991.

     Elizabeth began her career at Montgomery Carrott Ford where she met her husband. She later worked at Coleman Motor Company in Quincy as well as H&R Block as a tax preparer. Elizabeth retired in 2012 from Baucom Truck Service in Camp Point after serving as the office manager there for many years.

     Survivors include her children, Victor Gray Jr., Cliff Gray (Kim), and Karen Jones; her grandchildren, Anna Groves (Bryan), Stacey Milks (Josh), Isaac Gray (Sarah), Justin Rupp, Mindy St. John (Jesse) and Amy Jones; her great-grandchildren, Emerson and Maddox Groves, Cooper and Bennett Milks, Owen and Brogan Gray, and Lily and Grady St. John; her siblings, Owen Neill (Nancy), Olin Neill, and Barbara Miller; her sister in law, Esther Wartick; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor Gray Sr.; a sister, Mary Jane Anderson; and her brother-in-law, John "Jack" Anderson.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow at Graymount Cemetery, Coatsburg.

     Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus United Methodist Church or the National Autism Association.

     The Gray family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Timberpoint Healthcare Center for the compassionate care provided to their mother. Elizabeth had endeared herself to them during her stay.
