Elizabeth Cooley

     Elizabeth "Betty" Cooley, 91, of the Timberpoint Healthcare Center in Camp Point, (formerly of Fowler) passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the home.

     Born January 18, 1932, in Pittsfield, IL., she was the daughter of Clarence and Helen Frieda Usherwood Brown. She married Wayne Cooley on March 8, 1948, in Pittsfield. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2020.

     Mrs. Cooley was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker throughout her life providing for her children as well as her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her sons, William Cooley, Fowler, John (Sandra Jo) Cooley, Coatsburg; her daughter, Linda Myers, Loraine; seven grandchildren, Chad Cooley, Jason (Lindsey) Cooley, Tina Faye, Brendon (Shawna) Myers, Eric Wayne (Chevy) Myers, Ashley (Justin) Hamm, and Craig Myers; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Brian Cooley, her son in law, Virgil Myers, and four brothers, Fred, Russell, Leland, and Henry.

     A visitation will be Tuesday, (October 31, 2023) from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Graveside services at Home Cemetery in Fowler will follow.

     Memorial contributions may be made to Home Cemetery or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
