Delbert W. Flesner, 85, of Golden, died at 11:56 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at his home.
Born September 8, 1935, in Clayton Township, Delbert was a son of Herman and Emilie Flesner. He married Norma Post on September 28, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden. She survives.
Delbert farmed all of his life in the Golden area. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden. He had served his country in the U.S. Army.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Brad (Lori) Flesner, Camp Point, and Richard Flesner, Clayton; three daughters, Lori (Scott) Hoff, Springfield, IL., Michelle (Kevin) Church, Osceola, MO., and Sara (Wendell) Heinecke, Clayton; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Kenneth (Edna) Flesner, Golden, Dean (Anne) Flesner, Golden, Roger (Diana) Flesner, Golden, Larry (Sally) Flesner, Carterville, IL., and Merlin (Betty) Flesner, Golden; one sister, Imogene Leenerts, Golden; a sister in law, Marilyn Flesner, Golden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Virgil Flesner; two sisters and brothers in law, Evelyn (Elmer)Aden and Maxine (Herbie) Ideus; two sisters in law, Beth Flesner, and Lois Flesner; and a brother in law, Arnold Leenerts.
Visitation will be held Saturday (January 2, 2021) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Golden.
Private funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church by Pastor Mike Grieve. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Blessing Hospice.
