Debra E. McClain, 63, of Clayton, died at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at her home.
Born April 2, 1958, in North Carolina, Debbie was the daughter of Jack and Lois Brown Ogburn. She married Elmer J. McClain on April 8, 1983, in Greenrock, IL. He survives.
Deb had been employed at Furrows in Quincy. After its closing, she worked at Lowe's in Quincy until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and crafting. Debbie loved her dogs and celebrating Halloween. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends and enjoyed seeing them have fun.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Shane Wright (Jessica), Kewanee, IL., Thyrl Jay Wright (fiance' Tasha), Coatsburg, and Casey Wright, Clayton; a step daughter, Stacey Rensberger (Mark), Davenport, IA.; a step son, Mathew McClain, Davenport, IA.; eleven grandchildren, Connor, Ian, Kaylee, Jack, Tristan, Tiffany, Austin, Mikey, Corbin, CJ, and Camden; and a great-grandson, Grant.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kyle McClain.
Deb was cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
