D. Elaine Fundell

     D. Elaine Fundell, 75, of Plainville, died at 5:12 am Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

     Born June 6, 1947, in Quincy, Elaine was the daughter of Horace and Margaret Belle Wartick Nelson.

     Elaine held various jobs throughout her life most recently focusing on house cleaning. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her yard and flowers, and cooking. Her greatest joys came from the time she spent with her family.

     Survivors include her children, Tammy Wellman (Rick), Payson, Joy Williams (Joe Sodari), Palmyra, MO., and Rory Fundell, Liberty; her grandchildren, Jessica Brunenn (Casey), Courtney Zanger (Josh Chapman), Jayden Skirvin, Owen Williams, Annie Sodari, Addie Sodari, Angie Sodari, and Alex White (Josh); her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Ellie Brunenn and Payton Zanger; two brothers, Dave Nelson, Quincy, and Lennie J. Still (Tina), Payson; her beloved dog, Zorro; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Jimmie Dean Koontz; and her brother, Mike Nelson.

     Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 12 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point, IL.

     Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton Funeral Home to help cover expenses.
