Connie E Fairchild

Connie E. Fairchild, 75, of Plymouth, IL died at 6:30 am Monday April 17, 2023 in Carthage Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL.

She was born on October 27, 1947 in Macomb, IL to Fred J. and Gwendolyn Alexander Hoelscher. She married Robert Fairchild on September 30, 1966 in Plymouth, IL. They later divorced in August 1984. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2018.

Connie was a 1965 graduate of Plymouth High School and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, IL. She had been employed as a secretary at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL and later at Alcoa in Bettendorf, IA.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Fairchild Bunney of Plymouth, IL and a son, Ben (Tina) Fairchild of LaHarpe, IL. 7 grandchildren, Gwendolyn Bunney, Schylar (Adam) Wright, Shelby (Tucker) Huston, Shyanne Fairchild, Brett Fairchild, Shaylee Fairchild, Shantaye Fairchild, 2 great-grandchildren, Nizaiah and Oaklynn Huston, a niece of Heather (Tyler) Greenslaugh of Nauvoo, IL and a nephew, Derick (Brenda) Hoelscher of  Plymouth, IL, an aunt, Mary Alexander of Caldwell, ID,  a sister-in-law, Peggy Hoelscher of Golden, IL and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Freddie Hoelscher and a niece, Rebecca Hoelscher Hager.

Cremation will be accorded. There will be no services.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL is handling arrangements.
