Clifton Curtis, 58, of Quincy, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his home in Quincy and is now in Heaven telling stories and dancing the "Jig" again.
Born May 11, 1963, in Hannibal, Missouri, Clif was a son of Juan Curtis and Lillie Marie Ruck.
Clif loved embracing the adventure of life. He was a western stunt man in old Tucson, AZ., a construction worker and plumber out in California, and a car salesman here in Quincy. He had most recently worked as an over-the-road truck driver. Clif also served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was kind hearted, fun loving and you could always count on him to remember a fun adventure and share it with everyone around him.
Survivors include his long time companion, Linda McVey, and her children, Quincy; his siblings, Christine Hiett (Jim), Modesto, CA., their six children and eight grandchildren; Doug Curtis (Pam), Paloma, their four children, and five grandchildren, and Julia Curtis Hagan (Chuck), Phoenix, AZ., and their son.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Malcolm and Julia Curtis; and his parents.
Cremation had been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19 at the Paloma United Methodist Church.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the Paloma United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Paloma United Methodist Church.
