Clarence G. Lawler, 82, of Loraine, died at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born February 16, 1940, at his family home in rural Loraine, Clarence was the son of Hoyt and Laura Day Lawler. He married Jennifer L. Finlay on November 17, 1963, at the First Congregational Church in Mendon. She survives.
Clarence farmed most of his life and was Houston Township road commissioner for 16 years retiring in 2009. He was a former member of the Adams County Fair Board and a member of the Centennial Ebeneezer UMC. His great joy in life was his family, and he truly cherished the time he spent with them.
Surviving is his wife, Jenny; their daughter, Missy Coyle (Jon Kirby), Loraine; and two grandchildren, Jarod Coyle (Katelyn), Camp Point, and Shea Coyle, Loraine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Centennial Ebeneezer UMC by Rev. Jim Crozier.
A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
