Catherine Bienhoff

Catherine Marie Bienhoff, age 93, of LaPrairie, passed away on December 27, 2023 in her home. 

She was born January 1930 to Minnie and Edward Albert and married Edward Carl Bienhoff on August 08, 1951. 

Catherine was very active in her community.  Catherine taught Sunday school and Bible school.  She volunteered at the Red Cross, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church WELCA and Golden Good Shepherd Home Auxiliary.  Catherine was a member of the Chatton and Adams County unit of HCE for 67 years and was the secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church for 27 years.  After she retired from Trinity Lutheran Church, she enjoyed working at Royalty's store in Camp Point, IL.

Catherine was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Zahn, Mary Ann Hahn, and Olivine (Ollie) McCafferty and two brothers, Elmer Albert and Robert (Bob) Albert.  She is survived by one sister, Mabel Gerdes, one brother, James (Jim) Albert and numerous nieces and nephews.

Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carl Bienhoff and son-in-laws Tim Hoosier and Danny Cundiff.  She is survived by her children Sheryl (Paul) Mizwicki, Lynda Hoosier, Kevin Bienhoff (Connie Spurgeon), and Vickie Cundiff.

Catherine is survived by her grandchildren Brandon Cornell (Jaci Winters), Lindsay (Matt) Bunch, Amanda (Andrew) Llewellyn, Andrea (Jackson) Yingling and Kory Bienhoff.

She is survived by her great-grandchildren Matthew Bunch; Rhett, Jordyn, and Reeves Yingling; Adalyn, Aubrey, and Ashtyn Llewellyn; Tanya (Richard) Duffey and great-great-grandson Zackary Stark.

A  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden, IL.  Public visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service and burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Golden, IL.  Memorial donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Light of Christ Radio Ministry.
