Carolyn Shaffer

 Carolyn E. Shaffer, 86, of Camp Point, IL, died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point.

 Born January 25, 1938, in Quincy, IL, Carolyn was the daughter of Henry and Mollie Williams White. She married James Shaffer on September 22, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2021.

 Carolyn was employed as a License Practical Nurse at Sycamore Healthcare Centre in Quincy, IL. She loved all animals, especially her beloved dog. She loved sitting outside on the porch swing just enjoying nature. Her greatest joys came with family, and she cherished movie time with her grandchildren.

 Survivors include her children, Mitzi (Tom) Connor, Charlene (Gene) Castillo, Kelly (Jesse) Deming, Keethan Shaffer, Josh (Heather) Shaffer, Lucas Shaffer, Nicholas (Heather) Shaffer, and Kayla Smith; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her brother, Gary White (JoAnn); and several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Cindy Masterson, Jeff Shaffer, Barry Shaffer, and James Kalb; and two sisters, Patricia Caulkins (Dale) and Charlene White.

 A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow at South Side Cemetery, Clayton, IL.

 Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
