Bruce W. Eddington, 86, of Plymouth, IL, passed away at 2:23 pm Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Mt. Sterling Health and Rehab Center in Mt. Sterling, IL.
He was born on February 15, 1940, in Colchester, IL, to Harry N. and Golda Nell Eddington. He was united in marriage to Wanda Ussery on August 31, 1963, at the Plymouth Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2017.
Bruce was a 1958 graduate of Colchester High School. He was the co-owner of Ussery Trucking in Plymouth for many years. He was a member of the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen, IL, Colchester Masonic Lodge, The Shriners, and the Tri-County Country Club, where he served as a Board member. He also served on the Adams Telephone Co-op board for many years.
He is survived by a son, Curtis (Susan) Eddington of Augusta, IL, 2 grandsons, Colton (Tanisha Wisslead) Eddington of Plymouth, IL and Brodie (Hannah Connolly Eddington of Quincy, IL, a great-grandson Greyson Eddington, 2 brothers, Bill (Beverly) Eddington of Colchester, IL, Chuck ( Daisy) Eddington of Bushnell, IL, 1 sister, Susan (Tom) Lusk of Macomb, IL. 2 sisters-in-law, Carolyn Ussery of Macomb, IL and Sandra Eddington of Colchester and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eddington, and a brother-in-law, Don Ussery.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, IL. Pastor Dan Seibert will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of services on Friday at the center. Private burial will be held later at Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Circle Community Center, Woodlawn Cemetery, or Living Faith United Methodist Church
