Brian Michael Wagner, 52, of Bowen, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:15 a.m. at his home.
Born September 11, 1973, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, Brian was the son of the late Randall G. and Patricia L. Grue Wagner.
Brian enjoyed scrapping, mowing yards, and riding his motorcycle. He could also often be found scratching a lottery ticket here and there. Throughout his life, he was employed as a laborer at various businesses.
Surviving are his sisters, Kimberly D. (David) Campbell of Bowen and Jeanna Cunneen of Bowen; ten nieces and nephews, Zachary Dively, Lucas (Angela) Dively, Nathan (Lilly Shanks) Dively, Emily Campbell, Sophia Campbell, Chase Campbell, Reid Campbell, Raelynn Campbell, Asher Campbell, and Ben Cunneen; his bonus sisters, Denise Wittler and her sons, Brady and Derek, and Danielle (Corrie) Eifert and their children, Kale and Maecyn; his bonus parents, Steve Wittler and Tyanne (Larry) Neisen; his aunts and uncles, Pam Steinkuehler, Denny (Cathy) Wagner, David (Michelle) Wagner, Gary (Kathy) Wittler, Connie (Bobby) Keber, Brad Wittler, and James Grue; numerous cousins; and his beloved dog, “Scooby.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, John and Marilyn Grue, Donald and June Wagner, and Ruth Wittler; two uncles, Johnny Grue and John Steinkuehler; and his beloved dog, Biscuit.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Sterling City Cemetery in Mount Sterling, Illinois, with Rev. Sheri Renner officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Kim Campbell to assist with expenses, Blessing Hospice, or Hearts of Hancock.
