Bonnie Sue Walton

Bonnie Sue Walton, 72, of Plymouth, IL died at 9:42 pm Saturday July 22, 2023 at Macomb Post Acute Care Center in Macomb, IL.

She was born on April 22, 1951 in Macomb, IL to Willis and Talitha Barrett Riser. She was married Charles “Chuck” Walton on November 30, 1968 at the Colchester Christian Church. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1999.

Bonnie was a 1969 graduate of Colchester High School and received an associate degree from Carl Sandburg College. She had served as Postmaster in LaPrairie, Basco and Bowen IL post offices. She was a member of the Fandon Christian Church.

She is survived by 2 sons; Stacy Walton of Carthage, IL, Kerry (April) Walton of Marquette, KS, a daughter, Alice Wall of Colchester, IL, 8 grandchildren, Wesley (Katie) Wall, Sara Wall, Chelsey (Cody) McDaniel, Josh (Chelsea) Walton, Lance Wall, Caleb (Maggie) Walton, Tessalynn (Simon) Walton, Gabriel Walton, 8 great-grandchildren, Graycen, Dylen, Rogan, Starla, Carter, Brantley, Emmalynn and Treygan, a brother, Sylvester Riser of Decatur, IL, a sister, Linda (Rodney) Higgins of Plymouth, IL and her significant other, Danny Campbell of Plymouth, IL, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Jerome Riser and a sister, Sharon Foulk.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday August 5, 2023 at the Fandon Christian Church in Fandon, IL.
