Bonnie Faye (Allison) Milbert went home to Jesus on December 6, 2025, at 7:13 p.m. She was born in Keokuk, IA, on April 18, 1949, as a surprise twin to Robert and Ethel (Priebe) Allison.
Bonnie was a beautician for many years, working at Campbell’s, Ola’s Style Salon, and later at A Cut Above until her retirement. She loved her customers and took great joy in helping others look and feel their best. Her two daughters were often the recipients of new styles and perms—whether they wanted them or not. Bonnie also assisted her daughter Jessica in her wedding photography business, where she lovingly earned the title of “film fairy.”
An artist through and through, Bonnie was gifted in every craft she attempted. She was a published writer of short stories, a painter, crocheter, seamstress, and creator of countless admired works. She won many ribbons and awards at local fairs, and she cherished the summers when her daughter Mona entered her creations for judging. Bonnie also had a trademark habit of adding googly eyes to objects she felt “just needed eyes,” a touch of humor that delighted everyone around her.
Bonnie radiated love, sunshine, and comfort. She had a special ability to make others feel good, to bring laughter, and to brighten any room. She enjoyed collecting antiques, crafting, and “solving the world’s problems” every Tuesday and Thursday with her son, Jerome.
Above all, Bonnie loved Jesus and her family. Her happiest moments were when her loved ones were gathered together. She also deeply cherished her church family at Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point.
In July 1973, Bonnie married the love of her life, Ron Milbert. Together they raised three children: Jessica (Hosie) Parker of Quincy; Mona (Tom) East of Coatsburg; and Jerome (Cindy) Milbert of Loraine.
Bonnie is survived by her grandchildren: Michael Barnes of Quincy; Ronald (Angelica) Barnes of Mendon; and Olivia, Sophia, Madeline, and Owen East of Coatsburg; as well as her great-grandsons, Greyson and Bryson Barnes of Burlington, IA. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Weed; her twin sister, Connie (Frank) Bange of Quincy; sisters-in-law Marsha Allison of Canton, MO, and Margaret Beath of Hamilton, IL; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ron; her brother, Larry Allison; sister, Sharon Allison; son-in-law, Jerry Barnes; nephew, Justin Allison; niece, Jodi Yackle; and great-niece, Taylor Yackle.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point, with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
