Beulah M Peters

Beulah M. Tournear Peters, 94, of Coatsburg, IL, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Born May 2, 1931, at home in Liberty, IL, Beulah was the daughter of Clem and Valinda Beckman Tournear. She married John B. Peters on April 18, 1952, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1999.

Beulah was a longtime member of Camp Point First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Daniel Peters (JoAnn Cannell) of Coatsburg and Randy Gene Peters of Coatsburg; her grandchildren, Dawn Peters of Golden, IL, Jennifer Henry (Blake) of LaPrairie, IL, Ashley Peters (Michael Goodwin) of Quincy, Tasha Peters of Coatsburg, Bradley Peters of Wrights, IL, and Heather Holder; her great-grandchildren, Cody Hoener, Dayton and Paxton Goodwin, Reid and Khyleigh Henry, and Jonah Peters; two sisters-in-law, Jeannene Tournear and Georgeann Tournear; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers, Richard, Russell, Loren, and Gene Tournear.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point, officiated by Pastor Rick Fordyce. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Quincy.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
