Mr. Ben Myers, 83, of rural Quincy, IL, died at 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

Born January 6, 1943, in Quincy, IL, Ben was a son of Paul Howard and Mary Elizabeth Hess Myers. He married Gayle Snapp on June 12, 1965. They later divorced. He later married Janice Leenerts on November 30, 1991. She preceded him in death on August 26, 2022.

Ben served his country in the US Army National Guard and was a lifelong member of the Columbus United Methodist Church.

Ben farmed all of his life in the Columbus area. He was an avid golfer and supporter of Central High School and enjoyed attending multiple high school sporting events.

Survivors include his children; Robyn (Lois) Myers, and Stacy Barton (Andy Steinman); his grandchildren, Malarie (Austin) Welty, Beau (deceased) (Caity) Myers, Makenzie (Mike) Atkinson, and Brady Barton; his great-grandchildren, Ben Myers, Wyatt Welty, Charlotte Myers, Joselyn Welty, and Mila Myers; his step children, Robert Thompson and his children, Triston and Jessie; Jonathan (Melinda) Thompson, and their children, Shalico, Ezra, and Jack; and Amanda Thompson, and her children, Natiaya, Dante, and Zakila; his brother Paul Robert Myers (Pam); three nephews, Tim, Cameron, and Jeff; and his niece, Ashley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice; his grandson, Beau Myers; and his son-in-law, Mike Barton.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Quincy Memorial Park by Rev. Sheri Renner.

Memorials may be made to the Panther Pride Foundation.
