Barbara J. McGartland, 85, of Camp Point, IL, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7:15 pm at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.
Born January 15, 1941, in Quincy, IL, she was the daughter of William and Dorothy Nichols Calvo. She married Glenn R. "Mac" McGartland on June 11, 1961, in Mt. Sterling, IL. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2019.
Barb was employed as a customer service representative for Farmers State Bank in Camp Point and later North Adams State Bank in Camp Point until her retirement. She was a member of the Camp Point United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Lori Bumgarner (Mike) of Jacksonville, and Lisa Shay (Tony) of Camp Point; seven grandchildren, Karie Johnson (Justin) of Jacksonville, Kelly Bracco (Adam) of Arenzville, IL, Alex Banta of Quincy, IL, Kirby Mixer of Edwardsville, IL, Sydney Banta (James Gronewold) of Fowler, IL, Abbey Goeppner (Ben) of Quincy, and Cooper Mixer of Ashland City, TN; eight great-grandchildren, Maralea, Malin, Malena, Grayson, Swayde, Peyton, Isla and Owen; her siblings, Joyce Nelson, Jacksonville, Victoria Hagen, Burbank, CA, Robert Calvo (Kimberly), Sugar Land, TX, and Angela Queenan (Kevin), Pleasanton, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, James Calvo and Daniel Calvo; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Nelson and Donald Hagen.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point.
Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Bailey Park or Toys for Tots.
