Barbara Hamrick

Barbara Hamrick, 88, of Augusta, IL went home to be with the Lord at 11:37 pm Friday July 18, 2025 at Bickford of Macomb in Macomb, IL.

She was born on June 23, 1937 near Augusta, IL to Russell and Dorothy Crossland DeJaynes. She was united in marriage to Bill Hamrick on September 5, 1955 in Augusta, IL. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2010.

Barb attended Augusta Schools. She was a homemaker and also worked many years at the Keifer’s store and Rhodes Market in Augusta. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point, IL.

She is survived by 2 sons, Bill (Deborah) Hamrick III of Augusta, Il. and Craig (Brenda) Hamrick of Macomb, Il., 3 Granddaughters, Rebecca Hamrick, Emily (Josh) Smith and Tiffany (Isaac) Tanksley, 6 great-grandchildren; Kennedy, Henry and Ben Smith and Hadley, Colt and Kaylee Tanksley, a brother, Charles (Leota) DeJaynes of Dallas City, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Joan DeJaynes.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday July 25, 2025 at the Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point, IL by Pastor Tom Robbins. Burial will follow at Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Woodlawn Cemetery Association.
