Aubrey E Bucher

     Mr. Aubrey E. Bucher, 92, of Sunset Home in Quincy, formerly of Camp Point, died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the home.
     Born October 23, 1930, in Fulton County, IL., Aubrey was the son of Caleb and Gladys Shawgo Bucher. He married Dorothy Crumley on March 12, 1954, at the home of her parents' near Rushville, IL. She survives.
     Mr. Bucher was employed at Adams Electric Cooperative in Camp Point serving as a lineman and foreman eventually retiring as operation manager after 30 years of service. Additionally, he operated a livestock farm south of Camp Point for many years.
     He was a member of the Camp Point United Methodist Church and a former member of Arrowhead Golf Course in Camp Point. Aubrey served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 until his discharge on December 22, 1953. He was a member of the Camp Point American Legion and the Camp Point VFW #5410. He loved playing golf and cards, and enjoyed time he spent with his family.
     Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Elden Bucher and his wife Cheryl, Quincy, Rose Mancini and her husband Don, Quincy, and Marcia Woodman and her husband David, Camp Point; his grandchildren, Wes Ferguson (Amy Tellor), Wendy Kuhn and her husband Rob, Michelle Landwehr and her husband Steve, Ryan Mancini and his wife Mallory, Jessica Mancini, Sarah Worstell and her husband Nathan, Lukas Woodman, and Marcie and Brandon who always called him "grandpa"; his great grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, and Kameren Kuhn, Lexi and Aubri Landwehr, Cayleb Hawkins, Poppy, and Gio Mancini; his brothers, Gerald Bucher and his wife Judy, and Richard Bucher and his wife Mary; his sister, Jeanette Schisler; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jean Anderson and her husband Charles, and his brother in law, Phillip Schisler.
     Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Camp Point United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point.
     Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Camp Point United Methodist Church.
     Memorials may be made to the Camp Point United Methodist Church or Homeward Bound Waggin.
     Pallbearers will be Wes Ferguson, Ryan Mancini, Lukas Woodman, Kyle Kuhn, Kameren Kuhn, and Cayleb Hawkins.
     Honorary pallbearer will be Gio Mancini.
