Alice Knight

Alice Jo Knight, 81, of Quincy, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Sunset Home.
She was born February 13, 1940, in Chicago IL, the daughter of Adam and Gladys (Staff) Heft.
Alice worked at Eighth Avenue Villager in Quincy, IL, and worked at the Quincy Art Center. She was an avid cat lover and often donated to the Quincy Humane Society. Alice enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends and family.
Alice was of Methodist faith. She was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Jim and wife Dede Elder of Quincy, IL, Two Grandchildren, Kacy and Husband Andrew Hunter of Stoughton, WI, and Maria Elder of Quincy, IL.
Alice was preceded in death by her life companion, John Ervin, her parents, and her sister Florette Dobbs.
Alice was cremated. A graveside service will be held at Quincy Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
