Nancy Pacatte Gunther, 83, of Camp Point, died at 4:12 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Born November 28, 1933, in Vandalia, IL., Nancy was a daughter of Harry and Mary Lorretta Brown Pacatte. She married Aubrey Dale Gunther March 31, 1956, in Coatsburg. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2007.

Nancy was a member of the Certified Photographic Craftsman, Professional Photographers of America, a life member of Professional Photographers of Illinois, the American Photographic Artists Guild, the National Wildlife Federation, The Resources Defense Council, the Mississippi Valley Garden Club, the National Arbor Foundation, the National Home Gardening Club, the Nature Conservancy, the Muddy River Herb Guild, the Defenders of Wildlife, was historian of the Maplewood Alumni Association, a volunteer at the Illinois Veterans Home, and was a member of the United States Marine Corps Auxiliary.

Nancy was employed as a radio/telephone operator at Adams Electric. She then worked for Maxwell Studios, and Scott Nozawa Photography.  Later she operated Gunther Art Service where she operated a photo restoration business out of her home.  She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Coatsburg.

Survivors include her son, John Gunther (Debra), Camp Point; and two grandsons, Andrew (Aimee Elkin) and Joshua (Brittany) and a great granddaughter, Berkley Gunther.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Dale Gunther, her beloved husband of 50 years, A. Dale Gunther and her parents.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Hemophilia Association or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
