Kathryn Barbara Eichman, 74, of Bowen, IL died at 11:45 pm Wednesday March 7, 2018 at her home near Bowen.
She was born on February 3, 1944 in Carthage, IL to Thees and Dorothea Heinecke Johnson. She married Donald Eichman on February 10, 1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Basco, IL. He survives.
Kathryn was a 1962 graduate of Bowen High School, She was a homemaker and farm wife working along the side of her husband Donald on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowen, Il. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, a son, Keith Eichman of Augusta, IL, two daughters, Elaine (Brian) Neill of Bowen, and Robin (Bill) Boyer of Loveland, CO.; eleven grandchildren, Mandy (Mike) Stout, Michael (Bridgette) Northern, Mark (Casey) Northern, Dillon Eichman, Halee Eichman, Lacey Eichman, Brandon Boyer, Brett (Taylor) Boyer, Austin McDonald, Grant McDonald, and Kari Neill; seven great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Sharon Kreps of Macomb, Wanda (Richard) Mustard of Kansas City, MO., Esther (Don) Totsch of Carthage, and Jan (Ron) Ufkes of Mountain Home, AR; a brother, Mark (Deb) Wear of Kansas City, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Robert Lee Eichman; a daughter in law, Barb Eichman; a sister, Reva Myers; and a brother, Carl Johnson.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday (March 10, 2018) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowen by Rev. Larry Troxel. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Chili Cemetery.
